34.1: My Heart is in a state of confusion
A quick Q&A about that second-hand phone. Almost a week
had passed since Chu Qianmiao returned home from overtime one night to find Gu
Miaoyu sitting on the living room sofa, pouting and smirking, acting like an
angry pufferfish.
She quickly put down her computer bag and sauntered over to
Gu Miaoyu, stroking her back and saying, "Hey, who's this kid? How come
she's so cute even when she's angry?"
Gu Miaoyu's puffed-up cheeks were deflated by her words.
"When it comes to giving people a little seduce, no one
can beat you!" Gu Miaoyu said, a mixture of anger and amusement.
Chu Qianmiao seized the opportunity and quickly asked Gu
Miaoyu why she was angry.
Gu Miaoyu's brows furrowed, a look of deep resentment etched
across her face. "Today, Manager Qin at our company hired me a sales
intern."
Chu Qianmiao: "That's great! Otherwise, you'd have to
juggle both the designer and the sales role. Now you have a helper, the
pressure's a little less, and you can be happier every day."
Gu Miaoyu shook her head angrily, nearly knocking the little
balls off her head. "No! I can't be happy at all!" She hugged Chu
Qianmiao's shoulders and shook her. "Shuishui, do you know who this new
sales intern is?!"
Chu Qianmiao: "...Who, who?"
Gu Miaoyu's round eyes blazed with flames. "That's that
rude, self-righteous brat who stole my phone at your school the other
day!!!" Gu Miaoyu used a string of adjectives to convey her resentment.
When she mentioned this brat, she couldn't stop laughing.
"Seriously, Shuishui, how can there be a student like this in your school?
He's so offensive, so rude, and so self-satisfied. I bet if he wasn't so
good-looking, he'd have been beaten to death a thousand times!"
Gu Miaoyu's complaints were so intense that Chu Qianmiao
couldn't get a word in. She could only mentally play the joke: Wow! That guy's
"good-looking" must be quite good-looking.
"He's just a fresh-faced kid, new here, what does he
know? Shouldn't he humbly learn from senior Teacher Gu? Why does he have to

enraged that she'd give him the most hated throne and relegate Tu Xiaorong to
second place.
That wouldn't work. After all, Gu Miaoyu and that damned
brat were on the same page. This was a struggle within the people. But Tu
Xiaorong was an enemy outside the people. Infighting couldn't prevent us from
uniting against the outside world.
Chu Qianmiao tried to persuade Gu Miaoyu to calm down,
explaining the internal and external logic. "Put aside your annoyance
towards that guy for now. Since he's your sales representative, you two should
work together to improve your performance. Even if you go from last to second
to last, at least you won't be eliminated from the bottom by the end of the

heart.

In the days that followed, Chu Qianmiao worked on the
project while worrying about Gu Miaoyu. She was afraid that if Gu Miaoyu lost

For the past few days, listening to Gu Miaoyu describe her
workday every night, Chu Qianmiao felt like a melodrama with twists and turns
and a confusing ending.
Initially, Tu Xiaorong wanted to crush Gu Miaoyu, refusing

to underhanded tactics to steal her orders. Amidst this difficult situation,
that brat named Shao Yuan added fuel to the fire, asking the manager to
transfer to another team, abandoning the official and joining Tu Xiaorong.
That day, Chu Qianmiao spent the night with Gu Miaoyu,
scolding the brat until two in the morning, before they both finally settled
down and could sleep. The next day, Chu Qianmiao went to work at Litong. Upon
seeing her, Lei Zhenzi actually remarked, "Qianmiao looks even more
charming with dark circles under her eyes!"
She didn't hold back and immediately responded with a
compliment: "Mr. Lei, your eyes are so beautiful because they always see
the truth, kindness, and beauty in the world!"
Everyone made harmless jokes about her dark circles. She
even poked fun at herself.
Finally, Ren Yan, taking advantage of a quiet moment, asked
her, "Is the workload too heavy for you lately?"
She quickly said no.
Ren Yan then said, "Then go to bed early."
With that, he left. She was momentarily taken aback. When
she finally did, her heart was pounding.
It had to be her senior. Others only laughed at her dark
circles, and only her former F0 would ask if she was too exhausted from work.
She figured she had good taste when she was young and hadn't
chosen the wrong person.
Then, Gu Miaoyu's situation took a sharp turn for the worse.
She had even advised her not to get angry; at worst, she'd be eliminated from
the final round, and she'd support her.
But Gu Miaoyu had unexpectedly staged a comeback, securing
several deals in a row. She secured these deals with Shao Yuan's assistance.
Chu Qianmiao was initially baffled when she heard Shao Yuan had been
transferred back from Tu Xiaorong's group, and was so insistent on doing so.
She thought this boy named Shao Yuan was truly a mystery.
Xiao Daogu and this enigmatic boy formed a fantastic duo in
the mixed doubles competition. Chu Qianmiao heard they were ambitious now, no
longer content with simply escaping the last-place elimination crisis—they had
even greater aspirations: to achieve top performance.
Chu Qianmiao thought, how unpredictable things are in this
world. Two people who were sworn enemies yesterday are now happily
collaborating.
