Chapter 166: A Happy Ending~Part 13
It was a week before An Ran and the two little ones were
discharged from the hospital. It wasn't like those TV stories about spending
money in a confinement center, with all the worry of inadequate care and care.
So, after returning home, An Ran's confinement was taken
care of by Lin Xiaofen and Qin Yun, who took turns caring for her, while Aunt
Li and Aunt Zhang assisted in raising the two Su family grandchildren.
After a few days of adjustment, Su Yicheng finally came to
terms with his fate of not having daughters. However, Lin Li took the
opportunity to boast about An Ran giving birth to twin boys in front of Su
Yicheng for a long time.
That night, An Ran nursed each child, then let Aunt Zhang
and Aunt Li take them to bed.
Su Yicheng finished his work and left the study. When he
returned to his room, An Ran was sitting on the bed, wiping her chest with a
napkin. The little one hadn't finished eating, and it was still a little
swollen, constantly overflowing from her chest. The sight of her snow-white
breasts made Su Yicheng irritated.
He stepped forward, sat down at the head of the bed, and
immediately pulled An Ran into his arms, burying his head in her shoulder. He
said sullenly, "An Ran, are you tempting me?" God knows how hard it
had been for him since he was seven months pregnant! Now, for him to see such a
scene was pure torture for him. It was truly cruel!
An Ran laughed out loud in amusement, but suddenly felt him
take her hand and place it somewhere on his body. The laughter died down, and
she pushed him away with a blushing face, "You, you're crazy!"
Su Yicheng sighed, helplessly getting up, grabbing a change
of clothes from the closet, and heading straight into the bathroom. An Ran
looked toward the bathroom, feeling a little sorry for him, yet also a sense of
helplessness.
When Su Yicheng emerged from the bathroom, An Ran was
leaning against the bed, carefully reading a Xinhua Dictionary. The child had
been born for almost two weeks, but the name still hadn't been decided, and the
hospital had called, urging them to get a birth certificate.
Su Yicheng wiped his hair with a towel again, then went
straight to the bed and pulled An Ran into his arms, whispering to her,
"Are you still thinking of a name?"
"Yes, we need to get the birth certificate quickly.
We've already received several calls from the hospital," An Ran said,
turning another page.
Su Yicheng embraced her, reached out, took the dictionary
from her hand, and placed it on the bedside table.
An Ran was startled, turning to look at him in confusion.
"What's wrong?"
Su Yicheng let her go, letting her sit down. They stared at
each other and said, "An Ran, let's talk."
"What?" An Ran frowned, even more puzzled by his
serious expression.
"Let's talk about the baby's name," Su Yicheng
said, looking into her eyes with unusual seriousness.
An Ran was stunned, and reflexively asked, "Have you
thought of a name yet?" Her eyes looked a little excited.
Su Yicheng nodded. He had actually been thinking about it
for the past few days. He had two suitable names, but he still had to consult
her.
"Really?" An Ran exclaimed in surprise. "What
name? Tell me now." She had been searching the dictionary for days, but
still hadn't decided on a name. It was only then that she realized that naming
a child was truly a technical task, one that required both effort and thought.
Su Yicheng looked at her for a long moment before slowly
speaking, "I want the children to have each of our surnames."
An Ran was stunned by this, still unsure what he meant. She
hesitantly asked, "What, what do you mean?"
Su Yicheng smiled faintly and said, "I want one child
to have the surname Su and the other to have the surname Gu." In fact, he
had already had this idea when he found out An Ran was pregnant with twins. It
was because of An Ran that Gu's father had never had his own biological
children, and he had given his all. Such paternal love was touching. He only
had one daughter, An Ran, and as An Ran's husband, he was naturally a half-son
of the Gu family, so he wanted the Gu family to continue.
"Why?" An Ran looked at him, her eyes strangely
warm. She had actually had this idea since she became pregnant. She had
mentioned it to her mother before, but she had refused. They were both worried
that a wealthy family like the Su family wouldn't give their children another
surname, so they hadn't considered it again. But she hadn't expected Su Yicheng
to bring it up today. Su Yicheng reached out and wiped the tears that had
unknowingly fallen on her face. He smiled faintly and said, "I know you
love Daddy very much, and Daddy loves you, too. I love you both, so I want our
children to have both of our surnames. This way, they'll better understand the
meaning of family."
An Ran looked at him, tears streaming down her face, but she
didn't know what to say.
Su Yicheng chuckled softly and reached out to embrace her.
He stroked her hair and said, "Why are you still acting like a child?
You're already the mother of two sons."
An Ran cried, and in a fit of anger, she slapped him,
saying, "You, you're so quick to dislike me? Are you disgusted that I'm
not pretty anymore after having children?"
Su Yicheng laughed heartily and hugged her even tighter. He
whispered in her ear, "My wife is the most beautiful woman in the
world!"
An Ran wiped her tears and said angrily, "Hmph, I'm
telling you, even if it gets ugly, you won't have the chance to regret it now.
I'll be with you forever. Don't even think about getting rid of me."
Su Yicheng laughed heartily and whispered a promise in her
ear, "Okay, then I'll hold your hand forever and never let go!"
An Ran cried and laughed, "Of course!"
The two of them hugged for a long time before Su Yicheng
finally let her go. He pinched her nose, which was red from crying, and leaned
down to kiss the tip of it.
An Ran closed her eyes and felt his kisses fall densely on
her face. His breath was warm and comfortable. Suddenly, something struck her.
She opened her eyes, pushed him away, and asked earnestly, "You said you'd
already decided on a name. What are they?"
Su Yicheng called out, leaning back against the bed. He
pulled her toward him and let her lean against him, his arm around her waist.
She still had some flesh on her belly after having just given birth. Compared
to when she was skinny and nothing more than bones, he preferred the feeling of
holding her flesh like this. The touch felt especially good.
An Ran felt a slight tingle from the large hand on her
waist. She grabbed his hand, holding it tightly, interlocking their fingers,
and asked, "What are your names?"
"Hmm," Su Yicheng said softly, then slowly asked,
"Let's call them Su Weiming and Gu Weiyi. Okay?"
"Weiming, Weiyi, Weiming, Weiyi..." An Ran called
out playfully, smiling and nodding, loving both names from the bottom of her
heart.
"Do you like them?" Su Yicheng kissed her ear.
An Ran turned and watched him nod happily. "Yeah, I
like it. Weiming, Weiyi, it sounds great!"
Su Yicheng smiled gently and reached out to touch her face.
He loved her smile like that and had vowed to keep it that way forever!
The smile on her face suddenly dimmed as she thought of
something. She looked at Su Yicheng, wanting to ask something but not daring
to.
Su Yicheng frowned slightly and asked, "What's
wrong?" He had been fine just a moment ago, so why was his face so sad
now?
"The child's surname is Gu. Do your parents and grandpa
agree?" After all, it was a Su family child, and taking their mother's
surname was something some of the older generation might not accept.
"I thought you were worried about something." Su
Yicheng flicked her forehead with amusement and asked, "Are Mom and Dad so
old-fashioned and inflexible? They're making you think so much!"
An Ran rubbed her forehead, still feeling a little unsure.
"But I still have to talk to Mom and Dad. If they disagree, we have to
respect their opinion."
Su Yicheng smiled. Perhaps it was her considerate nature
that had drawn him to this little woman. He leaned down and kissed her lips,
whispering against hers, "I've asked my parents and grandpa before, and
they all agree. So, stop imagining it!"
Hearing this, An Ran forced a broad smile, wrapped her arms
around his neck, and rested her forehead against his. "Su Yicheng, have I
ever said I love you?"
Su Yicheng smiled back, pecked her nose, and said, "I
don't mind if you say it to me once a day from now on!"
An Ran smiled, tilted her head back, and kissed his lips,
mentally promising that she would!
